These kilts are made from pure worsted wool woven by Lochcarron in Selkirk Scotland or Strathmores w60 range. The 8 yards ensure deep pleats which give the kilt that traditional swing

Be careful of alot of retailers, when you ask for the price on a kilt ask what weight they are going to use. Tartan is woven in 3 weights

11 oz suitable for ladies skirts (many Australian retailers use this for kilts)

13 oz suitable for skirts and kilts and very suitable to Australian conditions, not as durable as 16 oz but there is more choice in the tartan
