Q. How long does a kilt take to make on average?
A. On average our kilts take between 3 - 6 weeks to be made, although we can improve on this if required. We have a large stock of tartan, about 100 kilt lengths in stock in Australia, and can turn these around in about one week
Q. How long does delivery take?
A. On average delivery to an address in Australia takes roughly 3 days, delivery to Perth can take 7 working days. Delivery to New Zealand is also about a week. We use eparcel, which is a signed for service with Australia Post, if you are not home a card will be left in your letterbox
Q. How do I know what tartan I am entitled to wear?
A. The clan finder on the website, can assist you, if you type in your family name it will give you a good guide, if your paternal name doesn't come up, use your mother's maiden name. Don't despair if you don't get a result send us an email, or be like me, wear a tartan that you like.
Q. Can I come in and try a kilt on, before I buy one
A. Our shop hours are 9 to 5 weekdays and 9 to 12 Saturday, you are welcome to come in and browse, with over 300 kilts in hire, we are sure to have a kilt you can try.
Q. If I hire a kilt and decide that I like wearing one, can I get a discount off the purchase price.
A. Yes, if you hire a full outfit off us and then decide to buy a kilt within 3 months, we will discount your purchase price by half of your hire fee.
Q. Can you provide us contact information for a bagpiper to play at our function
A. Yes if you are in South East Qld, you can use the services of our grade one piper, if you are elsewhere we supply pipe bands all over Australia, we will put you in contact direct with your local pipe band.
Q. If I supply credit card details via the secure server, when will you debit my card
A. We will not debit your card until the goods are ready for despatch, we will contact you before we do so.
Q. If I purchase a jacket and it doesn't fit, what can be done.
A. Our business relies on happy customers and word of mouth advertising, we keep almost 300 jackets in stock, contact us and we will swap it over, you will only be responsible for the return postage.
Q. What colour kilt hose should I wear in the day and at night
A. Generally coloured hose for daywear and arran (off white) for evening.
Q. Will my bagpipes be ready to play when I collect them or have them delivered
A. All of the bagpipes that leave the shop have been set up by our Grade One Piper, they will only require minimum tuning if you purchase them as a complete package
