8 Yard Hand Stitched Kilt

This kilt is completely hand stitched from a full 8 yards of 13oz. or 16oz. worsted wool, in your choice of tartan, please email us if the tartan you want is not visible on the tartan finder

Karen who was born in Scotland, was taught by her mother how to make kilts and has 40 years of experience in hand sewing kilts

Making time is around 6-8 weeks, however, this can usually be brought forward if required.  If you do have a particular date in mind, please let us know and we'll do our best to meet it for you.

Some of the less common tartans may need to be specially woven, which can take 8-10 weeks. Should this be the case, we will notify you straight away, and do our utmost to ensure your kilt is delivered on time.

Measuring guide

Waist:

Take this firmly around the actual waist (navel height)

Seat:

More comfortably around the widest part of the hips (seat)

Length:

From 2” above the hip bone (almost under your rib cage), to the top of the knee cap.

(It’s best to have someone else take this measurement for you while you look straight ahead)

Overall height:

This measurement gives us a good indication if the kilt length measurement given is correct.
